FAQ

1. What is Sense.ly?

Sense.ly is a product that allows clinicians to define automated conversations with their patients. You are represented by a remote assessment nurse which can notify the patient to check-in, ask the questions that you would like answers for, and collect relevant data using medical devices.

2. How does the Sense.ly clinician portal work?

Using the Sense.ly clinician portal, clinicians can create custom procedures for their patients, set up care plans to notify their patients to check-in, view reports for how patients are progressing, and adjust procedures as necessary to help the patient recover faster.

3. How do I create an assessment?

To create a procedure, click on the 'Create Assessment' button on the top menu. Choose a type of avatar that you would like the patient to interact with and then type in the questions that you would like to ask the patient. You can also select how you want the patient to respond to your questions. The current available options are \"speech\" in which the user will speak or \"none\", which means that the avatar will automatically go to the next question.

4. How do I assign a check-in?

To assign a procedure click on the 'Assign Check-in' button on the top menu. You will first need to choose a patient to assign a care plan to. After selecting the patient, you can specify the procedure to assign to a patient and a length of time that the patient needs to check in with the procedure. Note that the patient will only see the Care Plans that you assign in their portals that are current. Additionally, you can also create SMS notifications for the patient to alert of how often you would like him/her to check in. You can select specific week days as well as time of day for when the alert is sent.

5. How does my patient check-in?

The patient can check-in with a care plan in two ways:

  • By logging into the web portal at http://pilot.sense.ly

  • By accessing the Sense.ly app on an Android phone and logging in with a username and pin. As a clinician you can set up the patients' username and pin number using the 'Register New Patient' interface.

In both cases, the patient will see the check-ins that are assigned to him/her and can check in immediately. If the assessment the patient has to undertake uses the Kinect device or medical devices, currently only web-based check-in is possible.

6. How do I get the mobile app?

The mobile app is not yet in the app store but patients can download it on their phones by going to http://pilot.sense.ly/SenselyAndroid.apk from the browser on their mobile phone. The phone download the app and then the patient must install it by selecting the 'Install' option button.

Sometimes, the Android security settings will prohibit such an install. In this case, the patient can go to Android Settings, select Security, and check the box next to 'Unknown sources' to allow installation of apps from sources other than the Play Store. After the app is installed, please deselect 'Unknown sources'.

7. Do you have an app for the iPhone?
